CREW 2016 in ASTANA

Third Annual Business Forum CREW-2016 was held on April 28-29 at Ramada Plaza, Astana.

This year the forum focused on issues of new trends in commercial real estate market of Kazakhstan, interaction of management companies with the government (participation in government orders, including management of post-EXPO-2017 objects), activities of companies in commercial real estate market and investments in financial crisis.

CREW-2016 was held in the format of panel discussions and B2B meetings. This year over 150 participants attended the event, and 35 foreign and local speakers took part in case studies. Participants went through interesting Kazakhstani cases concerning design, construction and management of office and retail real property, speakers outlined the application of BIM-technologies in the construction, discussed issues related to participation of professional management companies in tenders for management of state property and   commercial facilities after EXPO-2017.

On April 28, the forum was officially opened; plenary meetings and practical sessions started their work with speakers and executives of leading management companies of Kazakhstan and Russia.

Following the official opening of CREW-2016, there was held the press briefing involving guests and partners of the forum.

General and official partners of CREW-2016 were management companies as M-Line Property Management, Mobil Realty Management Company, Marden Property, GMG Management, Retail Facility Management, Management Service Brokerage, construction and design company Bauberg, shopping center “Tulpar”, Shopping and Entertainment Center “City Mall” (Karaganda).

Aidyn Rakhimbayev, executive of BI Group and Developers Association of Kazakhstan, representatives of NC Astana EXPO-2017 JSC, “Damu” Entrepreneurship Development Fund” JSC, RESMI Investment and Financial House, and of other large Kazakhstani companies took floor to make statements.

Sandra Holm, Business Development Director of RETEAM Group (Denmark), took the floor as an invited guest at the special session focused on issues related to retail real estate. Sandra Holm described the methods of work with tenants of retail real estate and responded to one important question – why one shopping center is successful, and the other one is empty.   The speaker delivered the presentation entitled “Shopping Center made by Clients” and explained the participants about importance of psychological analysis of consumers behavior for successful functioning of a shopping center as a place where people are able to spend the money and meet their needs, but also to spend as much time and come back again.

The official award ceremony of “Best Commercial Real Estate Object” CRE AWARDS-2016 was held in the framework of the formal closure of CREW-2016.

CRE AWARDS was established in 2014 at the initiative of the Organizing Committee of CRE Week, and it has already proved to be an important and prestigious event of commercial real estate market of Kazakhstan.
